My house has been turned up-side-down. Not literally of course, but close enough. The funiture has all played a giant game of switch-er-oo and now we have a couch and comfy chair in the basement. Everything's a mess though, from moving piles of junk so the furniture could be moved. The thing that's wierding me out the most, though, is the computer was moved onto the table instead of the desk, and as such the speakers are in a different spot. So the computer sounds are all coming from the wrong place and it's freaking me out.
In other news the Weekend of Drunken Debauchery has begun! woot! I got tipsy on free wine and coolers (ok, only one cooler. And one glass of wine (actually it was a plastic cup). I'm a total lightweight, I know). First up was the Greek and Roman studies wine and cheese where Sade and I made awkward conversation with profs until the wandered off. Then we went to the history club beer and pizza where they also had coolers, which is good because beer is gross. We ended up talking to this guy with a really long nose. Then this other guy joined us who was incredibly slick and looked kind of like a used car salesmen, or the 40 year old virgin. But the thing is he wasn't creepy. He was just slick and... not creepy.
Oh, and I made a bad history joke about Earls and Earless'. Twice. Once to my humanities class (prof. M said it my long winded rant about the titles of English and French nobility was "fascinating" but he might just have said that to shut me up) and then again to the guy with the long nose. Sigh.
Toga party tomorrow! Woot! I'm really looking forward to it. Long Nose guy and David both said they might show. I'm only interested in Long Nose guy for purposes of not-as-awkward conversation, but it would be nice to have a drunken accident with David.
Speaking of David, my English prof seemed very interested in my account of what it's like to write with a dip pen. Really, it's not that big a deal.
Toga! Toga! I'd better go see if I can find mine... and some pictures of Greek statues so I'll know how to do my hair. Yes, I am the biggest geek ever. Does that bother me? No.
