I always insist that I don't like Christmas, that it's stupid, that Halloween is better yadda-yadda but the truth is I love it. I just forget that I do from about December 29-December 18. I love the lights and the snow and finding the perfect presents and getting out of school and the sparkly things- oh, the sparkly things! And people are just so much nicer at Christmas, and there're sappy-fluffy-rot-your-teeth-sweet fanfics that are totally pointless and I would think were terrible any time except now, in that narrow window of "I love Christmas!"

Halloween is still better though.

But I will admit Christmas has it's high points. And Midwinter is in a couple of days. I don't think I've ever looked forward to midwinter so much. This year it's really just because it means that winter WILL end and that there IS hope for warmer whether. I have yet to get henna. I have doubts I'll actually get any in time, but no one actually seems to like it that much anyway except for me. Maybe I'll just draw on myself with a marker and pretend like there was henna.

Watched the Nightmare Before Christmas today while mom and I were making goodies. The great thing about that movie is that it's a Halloween AND Christmas movie! What more could you want? Although I'm guessing normal people don't, in fact, watch it at Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas movies, I'm finally, FINALLY going to watch PoA. Neither Janine nor I have seen it, so we decided to rent it for midwinter. Que squeeing, fangirlish glee and "OMGsubtext!" every two seconds.

Hugged like a brother. Ri-ight.

PS- someone kick my ass into writing, please? There's no way I'm going to do three chapters in three weeks if I'm only doing a page or two a day ^^;;;
