I love chinooks

A lot. Like a LOT a lot. For those of you who don't know, a chinook is a rare weather phenomenon that only happens in a handful of places in the world. There's some in depth, metiorogical reason for it, but the result is warm weather in winter. It was -35 degrees with a wind chill on Monday. Now it's +5 with a high of +8. Chinooks have the power to make me feel cheerful, even though I have an exam to write this afternoon that I haven't studied for at all.
I really, really, really love chinooks. And in light of this I have written a new letter:
To: The weather Gods,
I really appreciate the beautiful weather today, and your quick reply to my last letter. This is exactly what I was thinking of when I asked for more reasonable temperatures. So thank you, and keep up the good work.
- yours truly, Xena.
I've heard in most places talk of the weather is kind of a last-ditch effort of small talk. Not here. The first thing people usually say to each other is weather related because it seriously is a hot topic for discussion. It's always changing, and people can't stop talking about it. It's dynamic, it's interesting.
It's Calgary weather.
