Work stuff

So today at work things were going fairly good (for work) and my boss gave me a gift card for second cup (The note with it said 'thanks for all of your hard work' WTF?) and I was thinking 'hey, this isn't so bad after all. Maybe I'll rethink that whole quitting thing.'  then I remembered why I want to quit. One of my lessons was late, but it was the kid whose been sick so I figured he had a relapse although it turned out his mom just forgot about it. then the parents of the girls who I was teaching after that called fifteen minutes before their lesson to tell me they wouldn't be coming. So while having an hour of sitting around and doing nothing while still being paid kinda rocks, it's still really annoying. I'd like to know these things ahead of time, you know?

As for the Second Cup gift card... I don't know if everyone got one or if it was just me, but I'm thinking it might be them trying to suck up a bit after the whole homophobic co-worker incident. So, yeah, I've basically outed myself to my boss with that. But come on! I wear rainbow pants while at work and have purple hair. Could I be any gayer? After last halloween I'd say that's unlikely.
