nerd_haven and I actually do some of these things. Which amused me. So I automatically thought it would amuse everyone else. See if you can guess which ones apply to me. Enjoy.
You might be a nerd if...
1) the first time you hear a popular song is when "Weird Al" Yankovic does a parody of it.
2) you've ever taken a day off of work more than a month ahead of time so you could see the midnight premiere of a Star Wars or Lord of the Rings movie.
3) when discussing this day off with your employer, you've referred to it as a "religious holiday."
4) you play D&D and are over 14 years of age.
5) you've been playing in the same D&D campaign SINCE you were 14.
6) you have a strong opinion on whether third edition is an improvement.
7) you were still complaining about how second edition screwed up first edition when third edition came out.
8) you or at least three of your friends know one or more computer languages.
9) you own more than one video game console.
10) you read books with pictures of elves, wizards and/or robots on the front cover in public without worrying about what people will think.
11) you secretly think it would be cool if we actually lived in the Matrix.
12) you actually believe we already DO live in the Matrix and that you are as attractive as Keanu Reeves and/or Carrie Ann Moss.
13) you visit a Renaissance Festival at least once a year.
14) you dress up for it and you quote Monty Python and the Holy Grail at least 483 times each day you are there.
15) you own more than 50 Magic cards.
16) you paid more than $50 for at least one of them.
17) you've been to a sci-fi convention and felt that you were surrounded by "your people."
18) when people call you a nerd, you take it as a compliment.
